Kozy (⭐) I wish those who want to replicate international cuisines actually research what it should look/taste like. I imagine that if someone put scrambled eggs & bacon bits on a pizza crust and called it a quiche there would be outrage. Well that’s how I felt ordering the “chicken and waffles” at Kozy 😭. A Google search on the top chicken and waffles spots in America would quickly reveal that the way Kozy is preparing it is nowhere near how it should look or taste. The chicken was very under-seasoned and they chose to use a chicken cutlet vs. actual whole chicken pieces. The waffle was underwhelming and came with barely enough syrup to enjoy it. The worst part is then charging an exorbitant fee for something so bland. Sorry to sound harsh but hopefully this will inspire a better approach to the dish.

Instead of being gimmicky the chain actually respects the history of dishes like chicken & waffles and provides a delicious unique take to the meal. The flavor is there, the recipe is correct, and the price is perfect! Highly recommend the midi menu for your next trip to Paris or Lyon. (Also the music playlist at the restaurant reminded me of home 😊)
